To schedule an initial consultation, please fill the form or email me stating what times are preferable for you, and a little about why you are seeking counselling.
Yes. I take your privacy very seriously and discuss confidentiality with you in our first session. I am GDPR compliant and never share or sell any data I may hold. I am Registered as a Data Protection Officer with the Information Commissioners Office.
Counselling sessions are £60 per appointment. A typical appointment lasts 50 minutes.
The number of sessions varies enormously and depends on what issues you bring, and we will discuss this at your first session. You don’t have to decide then how many sessions you’d like - we can continue to check in with you throughout your counselling. I suggest starting with 6 sesions, then we can check in and see if you would like to extend. Counselling can be open-ended and there is no maximum limit on the number of sessions you can have. You can find out how you can get the most out of your counselling sessions here.
Payments are made before the session at the time of booking.
I hold health insurance recognition. Check with your provider to see if counseling sessions are covered, find out how many sessions can be included if so, and inquire about any other requirements. I can assist you in coordinating with your insurance provider to ensure session coverage.
Each therapeutic session is normally on the same day and time each week to facilitate consistency in the work. On some occasions I can provide flexibility, which you are welcome to discuss at your first session.
Yes, I do. Like most therapists, I have a 72-hour cancellation.
There is no charge if you cancel or reschedule your appointment with at least 72 hours’ notice. Missed sessions, and sessions cancelled with less than 72 hours’ notice, are charged the full fee. Please note that due to high demand, initial consultations are non-refundable. By booking an appointment with us, you are agreeing to abide by our cancellation policy.
This first session is an opportunity to meet and to begin to get to know each other, for you to ask any questions about me or the counselling process, and to talk about what brings you to therapy.
I may ask some questions about your family, relationships, work, and so forth. Please share whatever feels comfortable. This will help bring to light your history and background, and so set the context for our work.
By the end of this first session, you may have a good idea of whether you want to work together and continue with our sessions, or you might want to think it over.
We can work together for however long you require, which we can discuss when we meet.
I offer therapy sessions in Russian or Ukrainian to accommodate your language preferences.
